Bjørn Midtlyng, CFA, is a Principal of AltaView and is located in the firm’s New York office. For nearly twenty years he has been involved in complex valuation assignments associated with a wide variety of client engagements. Bjørn specializes in financial modeling and valuation analysis involving privately held and venture-backed enterprises, illiquid and thinly traded financial instruments, and complex securities. Particular industries of focus include financial services, healthcare, and life sciences. 

Bjørn has presented his work to company management, directors, and stockholders, and has prepared comprehensive reports for attorneys, accountants, bank trust representatives, and the IRS. Bjørn has managed and performed valuations for the following purposes:

Prior to joining AltaView, Bjørn was a Partner at MPI where he advised high-profile clients on complex valuation issues. In this role, he was also responsible for staff training and development, thought leadership, and assisting with the development of best practices. Bjørn started his career with Goldman Sachs, where he worked closely with the Equity Volatility Trading Desk in facilitating client-related executions for listed options.
