With 30 years of extensive experience in all key aspects of real estate – including over two decades in real estate valuation and consulting – Brad is a recognized expert in his field. Brad's valuation experience spans all property types including commercial, industrial, retail, multi-family, residential subdivisions, as well as special-use properties, such as golf courses, senior housing, healthcare facilities, parking structures and self-storage facilities. He has also been involved in the appraisal of all types of agricultural land, large recreational and operating ranches, vineyards, as well as mineral rights. In addition, he has managed the valuation of several large real estate portfolios with properties located throughout the United States, as well as in Europe and South America. Over his career, Brad has developed significant expertise in the appraisal of hospitality properties of all types spanning from hotels to large resort complexes. In addition, Brad has valued the life estate and remainder interests in numerous types of real estate assets, and prepared qualified appraisals for charitable donation purposes.

As an authority on complex valuations and issues specifically related to real estate, Brad has been called upon to provide support for litigation and expert testimony in both state and federal courts, property tax appeals, as well as alternative dispute resolution cases. He has also participated in dispute resolution cases as a mediator, neutral evaluator and arbiter, and has performed numerous forensic appraisal review assignments for estate settlement purposes with the IRS.

Prior to joining AltaView, Brad served as Managing Director of the real estate division of FMV Opinions, Inc. and spent five years with Bridge Capital Partners performing origination and underwriting for both construction and permanent loans with sizes from $5.0 to $50.0 million. While at Bridge Capital Partners, Brad also managed a $10.0 million private debt fund for real estate bridge loans.  Earlier, he was a principal of Joseph J. Blake & Associates where, for over fifteen years, he managed the firm’s West Coast real estate appraisal operations.
