Geoff Malcolm, CFA, is a Senior Vice President of AltaView and is located in the firm’s Atlanta office. He has 10+ years of experience advising on valuation matters for businesses across a diverse range of industries, sizes, capital structures, and stages of development.
Geoff primarily provides valuations on behalf of private clients. He has prepared valuation analyses for attorneys, accountants, and the Internal Revenue Service, as well as company management, boards, and shareholders.

Within estate and gift tax planning, Geoff has significant experience performing valuations of alternative asset managers, including a wide range of structured interests in hedge funds, private equity funds, and real estate funds, such as carried interests. Geoff also has experience valuing a variety of security types including common equity, preferred equity, convertible instruments, distressed debt, fee awards, stock options, and complex derivatives. In addition, Geoff has expertise valuing entities with complex organizational structures.
Prior to joining AltaView, Geoff was an Assistant Vice President with Management Planning, Inc. (MPI). Prior to MPI, Geoff performed valuation engagements at Houlihan Lokey, FMV Opinions, Inc., and Sigma Valuation Consulting. Geoff started his career at Caymus Equity Partners, a boutique merchant banking firm.
