Kory Felix, MAI, is a Principal of AltaView and is located in the Orange County office. Kory specializes in real estate valuation and consulting services throughout the country for a variety of purposes including gift and estate tax matters, property tax appeal, litigation support, purchase/sale advisement, and lease negotiation.
Kory has extensive experience in the valuation of various property types including retail, industrial, multi-family, office, hospitality, residential subdivisions, manufactured housing communities, ground leases, auto dealerships, high-value residences, and agricultural land. In addition, he has experience valuing special-use properties such as golf courses, senior housing, self-storage facilities, and marinas. He has performed market absorption discounts (blockage discounts) for portfolios that are of similar type and location.
Kory possesses particular expertise in the valuation of complex real estate portfolios for estates with greater exposure to potential scrutiny. He has performed valuations of properties owned by many of the largest real estate companies and family offices in California and throughout the country. Kory consistently delivers high quality appraisal reports while meeting timing needs of his clients.
Prior to joining AltaView, Kory was a Senior Vice President at a national valuation firm and led the real estate practice for the Orange County office. He also served in senior positions at FMV Opinions, Inc. and Cushman & Wakefield. Kory currently serves on the Education Committee for the Southern California Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
