Shafiq Jalal, ASA, MBA is a Director at AltaView and is located in the firm’s New York office. He has more than 20 years of experience valuing a broad variety of privately held businesses ranging in size from small private companies to multi-billion dollar enterprises.

Shafiq regularly performs valuations for individuals’ estate planning and estate tax matters, and for corporate planning matters. He has defended valuation opinions in IRS audits and has supported private parties in commercial and matrimonial litigation. Shafiq has testified in New York State court as a business valuation expert.​

 

In addition, Shafiq has particular expertise in the following areas:

Prior to joining AltaView, Shafiq held senior roles as a valuation expert at several firms, including most recently as a vice president at Management Planning, Inc. (MPI). Shafiq has previously held an executive position at a Single Family Office, where he oversaw a half-billion dollar portfolio of public and private investments; served as Board observer or member to several private portfolio companies located across the U.S.; and managed all tax and estate related matters of the Single Family Office.
